Her Highness Pramoda Devi has been a part of MedScapeIndia since its inception. She has supported MedScapeIndia in its endeavors to bring about social reforms. Laxmikant Parsekar, Former Chief Minister of Goa
Mr. Laxmikant Parsekar was earlier the Health Minister for the State of Goa. Under his leadership, Goa has experienced great development in healthcare, both in the rural and urban parts of Goa. He was responsible for developing many hospitals in Goa. His concern on the growing rate of HIV affected people in Goa has led the State to formulate the Deen Dayal Swasthya mission, which focuses on improving the conditions of those affected by HIV.

Dr. Deshpande is an MD, MAMS, FIMSA, and FICP. She was awarded the Padma Shree award for her contribution to HIV care and biomedicine. She has held HoD and Director level positions with Grant Medical College and JJ Hospitals in departments of HIV care, Nuclear Medicine and Thyroid. She has been a Technical Expert on the World Health Organisations Strategic and Technical Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS, contributing her expertise in this disease from the Indian perspective.
